Things that are worth naming

Abuse is not only physical. If any of this is familiar, it is worth talking to someone:

  • Being monitored, or having to account for where you are and who you’re with
  • Having your money, documents, phone or transport controlled
  • Being pushed away from friends and family
  • Being told your memory of events is wrong, repeatedly
  • Being blamed for their anger
  • Feeling frightened of how they will react
A note about this app. bb is a diary, not evidence and not a diagnosis. If you are looking at your own log and it frightens you, please talk to one of the services above rather than to a score.

Keeping this private

If you are worried someone checks your phone: bb has a PIN lock under Menu → Diary lock. You can also delete your account, permanently and immediately, from Menu → Delete my account. Most browsers have a private browsing mode for visiting pages like this one.
