What is bb?
bb is a gamified relationship diary that helps you log actions, notice patterns, and reflect on your relationship more clearly.
Who is bb for?
bb is for girls who are dating, in a relationship, a situationship, or just seeing someone, and want to understand patterns instead of overthinking everything.
Is bb only for relationships?
No. You can also use bb for situationships, talking stages, dating phases, or any connection you want to reflect on.
Is this a therapy app?
No. bb is not therapy and does not replace professional help. It is a playful reflection tool to help you stay mindful and see patterns.
What are LOVE and DEATH actions?
LOVE actions are moments that feel good, caring, or respectful. DEATH actions are moments that feel off, hurtful, disrespectful, or confusing. Both matter. The good should be appreciated, and the bad shouldn’t be ignored or pushed away.
Can I add individual actions?
Yes. You can choose from our default list or add your own LOVE and DEATH actions.
Do I have to log every little thing?
No. bb is here to help you reflect, not obsess. Use it in a way that feels healthy and supportive for you.
What is Love Score?
His Love Score (LS) counts “positive” actions over time. It helps you see when effort, care, and consistency are actually showing up. His LS starts at 0 and can grow forever.
What is Count Till Death?
Your relationship’s Count Till Death (CTD) starts at 20 and decreases when you log “negative” actions. It is a playful way to show when things are becoming too much.
What happens when CTD reaches 0?
You can decide to remove your boyfriend from the app or simply start a new cycle. Your old data stays saved, so you can reflect on what happened and get notified if toxic patterns repeat.
Will bb tell me to break up?
No. bb does not make decisions for you. It simply helps you to log and reflect. You decide what matters, what feels okay, and what crosses a line.
Can I use bb even if everything is going well?
Of course. bb is not only for bad moments. It’s also about appreciating effort, consistency, and healthy love.
Why is the app gamified?
Because reflection should feel engaging, not intimidating. We wanted self-awareness to feel playful, relatable, and actually fun to come back to.
Can I customise my bb?
Yes. You can upload the name and pictures of your boyfriend, and change the background to make it feel like your own little world.
What if my boyfriend finds bb on my phone?
Tell him it’s Duolingo.
Can he see any of this?
No. bb never contacts anyone you write about, never collects anything from their device, and never shows them anything. Your diary is visible only to you and secured by a diary PIN.
Is my data private?
Your entries are personal. bb is designed as a private space for your thoughts, memories, and reflections. For the full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You are able to delete your data or account through the app. More detail at boybye.tv/delete-account.
What should I do if I feel unsafe?

Is bb anti-men?
No. bb is anti-confusion.
How much does bb cost?
Nothing, baby.
What if I change my boyfriend?
You can always delete your boyfriend, archive old memories, and begin fresh with a new man whenever life changes.
Can I have more than one boyfriend logged?
We support women’s rights and women’s wrongs. But officially: one cycle at a time, bestie.
Can I share my insights with my bestie?
Yes! Your diary logs under “The past” can easily be shared with whoever you trust.
Is bb supposed to replace a best friend?
Never. But we’re here for the moments your bestie is asleep, busy, or tired of hearing about him. And especially for the girls who don’t have a bestie right now: bb is here for you.
Can I use bb if I don’t have a best friend to talk to?
Yes. bb is here for the moments you want to write it down, sort your thoughts, and feel less alone.
Can I switch off the sound effects?
Of course. This one’s for our overstimulated besties. You can turn the sound effects on or off anytime in your settings.
With which devices can I log in?
bb is available on iPhone.
Is this app secured with a password?
Yes. Your entries and memories are personal, and bb is designed to be a private space. And definitely not for your boyfriend — BOY BYE!!!
I forgot my diary PIN.
The PIN is stored only on your device and is deliberately unrecoverable — not even we can read it. On the PIN screen, choose “Forgot PIN” to sign out, then sign back in and set a new one. Your diary is untouched.
I’m not getting the verification code.
Check your spam folder first. Codes expire, so if it’s been a while, tap “resend code”. Still nothing after a few minutes? Email us and we’ll look.
Can I get my data back after deleting?
No. Deletion is permanent by design, with no shadow copy and no grace period. Please be sure before you confirm.
Does bb work without internet?
You need a connection to sign in and to sync. Your entries live in your account rather than only on the device, so they survive a new phone.
